[9639] Elizabeth m. 22 Sept 1915 Charles Raymond Young (1889-1956) who became a prominent Coatesville, PA attorney, a graduate of Dickinson College and Law School, active in the Coatesville Presbyterian Church. They are busied in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA. They had Suzanne Young (b. 20 Dec 1918 at Philadelphia, PA; m. 29 Sept 1951 Norwood Wilson Watts who died 15 Sept 1973 - they had Richard Young Watts, b. 5 Feb 1957). Richard Y. Watts (jesus_hewhosaves@juno.com) offered these memories in June, 2003 via email: "Every summer my Grandmother Young and my Mom, those two with whom I spent the first 33 years of my life(as I think of my parents having separated when I was 5,and divorced when I was 9), WENT UP TO DICKINSON COLLEGE,AND THEN ON TO PERRY COUNTY! I am an only child, graduated from Dickinson College. My education also includes 3 semesters at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary as a matriculant. My Mom died Nov.14,1991. She graduated from Dickinson College ,and received her Masters in Secondary Education from Columbia Univ. My Dad was the son of a Presbyterian minister, graduated cum laude from Princeton, and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard. My Grandmother Young graaduated from Irving College, of which you may have heard. She died in June of '86. The Dora who married Mr. Buckley was actually 'Dana.' Georgette had 2 daughters with whom I myself would really like to be permanently in contact. One was -oh,their first names will come back to mind!-one married a man of the last name Lord, and the other Schengrund (I think the spelling is right). Re: Geo.Arnold: He lived a notable life, which makees some sense given that he and his sister grew up as the children of a hotelier-The Mansion House being a fine hostelry. And being the son of M.L.Arnold Geo. most notably I would say, other than being married to Nana-who was a genuine beauty-was a big cog in the wheel of the shipment of materiel to Europe during W.W.II; but it was all kept secret - This needs research by someone! MARTIN LUTHER ARNOLD:Went to the Alaska Gold Rush, came home with a large gold nugget; when he returned he bought a ranch in Montana; and finally died in Coatesville in his daughter and son-in-law and granddaughters house. Re: Romayne, Eva's sister, I met her before she moved from Carlisle. The Wisconsin connection somehow rings true, howeveer I thought she died while living at Sun Valley in Arizona. I met Eva, of whom Grandmother Young was very fond, but I'm told she was a character! My last comment would be that one of her two sons, and I thought it was Harry rather than Don, retired at the age of 50, unmarried, apparently well-to-do, as a bank president."
