[55557] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 11 January 2024: "Rockwood - Lawrence 'Butch' Tupper Jr., 78, a lifelong resident of Rockwood, ME, passed away peacefully at home on January, 6, 2024. Butch was born in Greenville, ME, the son of the late Lawrence E. Tupper Sr. and Jeanette 'Bernard' Tupper. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1964 and Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute in Lewiston, Maine in 1966. Butch was a proud tribal member of the Penobscot Nation. He spent the majority of his life working in the Maine woods operations heavy equipment. He also worked on the Katadin steamship right up to the last log drive on Moosehead Lake. Butch enjoyed sailing, watching old westerns, and surfing the web. He was a beloved father and grandfather. Butch leaves behind his life partner, Marcia Hansen and her children, Felicia and Chris and his wife, Kelsey; his daughters, Sue Procter and her husband, Bob, of West Chester, PA, Shelly Weiss of Portland, ME, Michelle Mushero and her husband, Tommy, of Lincoln, ME; his son, Joseph Tupper and his wife, Jessica, of Gardner, ME; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Marie McCormick of Thorndike, ME, and Loraine and her husband, Bob Turner, of Venice, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Kennedy Lynn Mushero."
