[6211] First to take the name "de Harcourt," he married Eva, Lady of Boessey la Chastel; they had seven sons. For a discussion of his identity, see "Falaise Roll" (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., 1994), p. 14.
[5706] Gordon Banks (http://www.gordonbanks.com/gordon/family/2nd_Site/geb-p/p105.htm - citing Marlyn Lewis, "The Ancestry of Elizabeth of York" [Arvada, CO: HT Communications, 1999]) states that Ermengaud may be son of Eudes (Odon) (d. 919; son of Raimond I {?} and Bertha de Remy {?}) and Garsinde de Albi. [Rouergue lies amid the large plateau which dominates south central France. In ancient times it was partially in Lugdunensis and partially in Narbonensis; it was overrun by various barbarians before finally passing to the Frankish Kingdom in the 6th century. It was created a county in the 9th century.]

[16488] The 1880 census records him at age 41 in Lowell, Michigan - his household includes wife Abby L. (36, b. in NY), daughter Robella (17), son Fred A. (14) and servant Fred Pickard (17). The IGI record shows his wife as Abby Le-Rue Odell (b. 6 May 1844 in New Berlin, NY; m. 9 Aug 1862; daughter of Orland J. Odell and Silence Wilkinson). Brant County, Ontario biographical sketches have been transcribed by Bill Bowman from Warner and Beers History of Brant County, 1883, p. 629 at http://www.rootsweb.com/~onbrant/bioso.htm and report "ISAAC BROCK MALCOLM, (deceased), was born August 4th, 1812, in what is now Oakland Township, Brant County , Ontario, and died May 2nd, 1856. his parents were Finley and Fanny Malcolm. Finley Malcolm was born in Nova Scotia, and died about the year 1862, his wife having preceded him in 1859. Isaac married November 25th, 1835, Miss Charlotte Smith, a native of Ancaster Township. She was the daughter of Isaac and Abigail Smith, and was born February 20th, 1844. When Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm were married the country was new, and bears and deer were abundant. But Mr. Malcolm was a successful farmer, and at the time of his death had 280 acresof land and a pleasant and comfortable home, which he left to his family. He was a reformer in his political views, a member of the Congregational Church, and an excellent citizen. Mrs. Malcolm is at present living on 100 acres of the original homestead. They have six children, all of whom are living, and are named as follows: Finley, Charlotte, Fanny, Abbie, Henry and Isaac C."
