[13602] http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/HUNGARY.htmoffers in 2007: "Possible relative of the kings of Hungary, precise relationship not known: Hedwig of Hungary. The Chronicle of Gaimar, written in [1155], contains a confusing account of the 'elder ćtheling Edgar' (presumably an error for Edmund) having a love affair with the daughter of the king of Hungary who became pregnant and whom he married, and by whom he was the father of Queen Margaret of Scotland. The Chronicle of Ailred, abbot of Rievaulx, also refers to Edmund having married the daughter of the Hungarian king. Edmund's wife is named Hedwig in Burke's Guide to the Royal Family, although the primary source on which this is based has not been identified. In the absence of further information, the accuracy of these reports must be considered dubious as none of the Hungarian kings during the first half of the 11th century provides an obvious match. In the case of King István, it is likely that all his daughters predeceased their father in view of the accession of his nephew, King Péter, when he died. In any case, his daughters would have been beyond child-bearing age when the ćtheling Edmund arrived in Hungary, assuming this arrival took place in [1046] as is probable. As the ćtheling brothers were closely linked to King András I, it is unlikely that Edmund would have married a daughter of either of his disgraced predecessors King Péter or King Samuel Aba, and any daughters of the former at least would have been too young for such a marriage. Finally, any daughters of King András himself would certainly have been too young for the marriage. There is therefore considerable doubt about the historical authenticity of this Hungarian princess or her marriage to Edmund. m Edmund of England, son of Edmund 'Ironsides' King of England & his wife Ćldgyth --- (1016-before 1054)." [14124] http://www.alnwickcastle.com states: "Henry, 8th Earl of Northumberland (1572-1585). On the death of the 7th Earl in 1572, his brother, the 8th Earl, succeeded. He had gained the reputation of an able soldier, diplomat and administrator in Border warfare. He was professedly a Protestant and had taken the side of the Government against his brother in the Rising of the North, which prejudiced him in the eyes of the Catholic north; but his conduct in general appears to justify the charges brought against him by his contemporaries of being ruthless, crafty and unscrupulous. He soon fell under the suspicion of attachment to the Church of Rome and was kept under close surveillance by the Government and served two terms in the Tower. In 1584 he was arrested on false charges of complicity with Mary Queen of Scots and sent to the Tower for the third time. In the following year he was found in his cell shot through the heart. The Government tried to prove that he had died by his own hand, but there were circumstances pointing to murder. The Earl was succeeded by his son Henry."
[7129] The unverified Ancestral File (Z5LC-XJ) of the LDS Church states that Rebecca is daughter of Samuel Templin and Hanna Jacobs. http://www.geocities.com/dalemorrow/tem166.htm reports she is second child of this couple, and offers: "Samuel Templin, b. c1741, Chester Co., PA, s/o Richard and Mary Templin, d. bet. 2 Jan and 28 Feb 1816, Frederick Co., MD, m. (166) _______?, who died prior to 1771, when he m. 2nd., (166/2) Hanna Jacobs. In early Frederick Co., MD records, the name is sometimes spelled, Dempling. He evidently settled c1771, when bought 300 acres of land from Philip Farver on 21 Jul 1771, in or near to Middletown in Frederick Co., where the family was active in the Zion Lutheran Church, where he was a witness to baptisms in 1783 and 1784.According to the church records they must have been there by 1761, when the first child was born. His will names his eleven children."
