Mom was born on June 12, 1934, the eldest daughter of Alfred E. Conners and Shirley (Coombs) Conners, in Bucksport. Mom graduated from Bucksport High School and the University of Maine-Orono with a degree in elementary education. She traveled back and forth to Orono for night classes for 8 years to earn her degree. She worked for the Bucksport School Department, substituting, librarian at the Middle School, and retiring from being a 6th grade teacher at the Jewett School. She also worked the early shift at Bucksport McDonald's for a few years, which she truly enjoyed. Mom had been active with East Bucksport United Methodist Church Sunday School, with Hancock County 4-H, Hancock County Extension and Sweet Adeline's, Bangor. She was a die-hard beano player, she enjoyed her trips "out west" to visit with her sister, Nancy and going to the Oasis Casino in Mesquite, Nevada. Play in Ellsworth's Elk's Club, Buckmills Rod and Gun Club, and the fun nest for her- Hollywood Casino, Bangor. Mom enjoyed working in her garden, watching her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids grow. Mom is survived by Peter and Nancy Gott, Nicole and Keith- Bangor, Judy and John Stevens- Bucksport, Chris Davis and Ashley Noyes, Alexis and Harper Davis, Eli and Aksel Potter- Brewer, Cory Davis and Julie Normand of Vermont. Also, sister, Christine Gray of Frankfort; brother, James Conners and wife, Miriam, of Topsham; sister-in-law, Joan Gott of Bangor. Many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Shirley; her husband, James; sister, Nancy and grandson, Shane."

'June' enjoyed being active all of his life and particularly enjoyed gardening with his loving wife of 71 years, Annie (Camber), and he could often be found digging clams at Hadley Point. He was predeceased by one son, Russell, in 1987, and by four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Annie; one son, Paul Linscott of Ellsworth; one daughter, Shirley Garceau of Brewer; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Linscott of Bar Harbor; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary and Than Fickett of Milbridge, and Kathlyn Bridges of Hancock; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Hazel Linscott of Ellsworth; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins."

Her obituary: Mrs. Maurice J. Orr, who lived her entire life in Madison county, died Sunday, March 19 at her home in Winterset. She was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Orr was born Oct. 29, 1874, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Paullin. She was married to Maurice J. Orr in Winterset on Oct. 29, 1903. They were the parents of seven children, one dying in infancy.
Surviving are her husband; her six children, Robert Orr of Ames, Mrs. Bessie Bean of Seattle, Wash., Dale Orr of St. Charles, Wallace Orr of Rochester, Minn., Kenneth Orr of Pryor, Okla., and Mrs. Mildred Rahbine of Rochester, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren.
She also leaves three brothers, Elmer Paullin of Des Moines, Edward Paullin of St. Charles, and Raymond Paullin of Afton; and a sister, Mrs. Charles McDonald of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

He married Maria Catharina Jeakey on August 5, 1734, in Burlington, New Jersey. They had 12 children in 65 years. He died on May 19, 1760, in Albany, Pennsylvania, at the age of 50."
