Kenniston, mother, b. April 1838 in ME with her husband in the household of their son, Ernest. Susan's death record is reproduced in "Maine Death Records, 1617-1922" indicating her parents are George Foster (b. in Amherst) and Eunice Stanwood (b. in Eden [now Bar Harbor], ME and listing her as widow of Joseph Kenniston.

John and Susannah m. 24 March 1790 and had no children. For John's family, see "The Grindle Family of Hancock County, Maine" (1978), pp. 19ff. He is known as "Deacon John Grindle" and r. in the portion of Sedgwick which was set off to Blue Hill, ME. He was the first contract mail carrier, 1795-97, to Eastport (by boat) - see "Maritime History of Brooksville," LeCain W. Smith (Brooksville, ME Historical Society, 2005), p. 55.
