"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 13 March 1936, p. 31: "Brownville, March 12 - Stephen L. Leach, 75, died of pneumonia at his home here today after a brief illness. Mr. Leach moved here from Kingman several years ago, and had been engaged in the meat business. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Leach. Two stepchildren, Gilbert Moran, and Mrs. Ella Crommett, both of Millinocket also survive, as do several brothers."

After study at Leeds Grammar School, he went onto Trinity College, Cambridge, which had just opened its doors to non-conformists like him."

Strout, 71, of 26 Webster Avenue North died Monday morning following a sudden attack of illness after several years of failing health. He was born in Hudson November 1, 1888, the son of Fred A. and Myra M. (Warren) Strout. He was a member of St Andrew's Masonic Lodge of Bangor. He was employed at the S. L. Crosby's Garage on Exchange Street for 10 years before operating his own garage on Main Street for many years and latar wrecker service from his home. He played in the Shrine Band, the Newport Band, the Russell Band in Bangor, and the Brewer Band. He had lived in Bangor since the age of 10 and was educated in the Bangor schools. He is survived by his wife Bertha M. (Green) Strout of Bangor; three daughters, Mrs. Charlene Custer of Orland Park, Ill., Mrs. Marjory Strout of Bangor, Mrs. Evelyn Greene of Hampden Highlands; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Morrison of Vassalboro; one brother, Ralph Strout of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren and a niece."

Find A Grave memorial 54125383 offers: "Little is known about Sarah at this time other than her first name and that she was the farmer's wife, that of Robert Pollock, the son of Reverend James Pollock of Lack Township, Juniata County. Sarah and Robert's known children were Margaret, Lydia, Mary Ann, Sarah Jane, Catharine, Martha, Arabella, Nancy and Robert. Sarah and her husband Robert Pollock are reportedly buried at the Polk/Pollock cemetery in Lack Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, however there is only one headstone in this cemetery that actually displays the 'Pollock' surname and that is of Robert's father, the Reverend James Pollock. It is believed that Robert and Sarah's actual graves are forever forgotten with time and the passing of all their immediate family members and friends. It is most likely that they rest under two of the many unmarked field-stones within this old cemetery."
