[27261] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_de_Bourbon,_Duchess_of_Montpensier offers: "She was the eldest daughter of Gilbert, Count of Montpensier, and Clara Gonzaga. Her paternal grandparents were Louis I, Count of Montpensier and Jeanne, Dauphine of Auvergne. Her maternal grandprents were Federico I Gonzaga, Marquess of Mantua and Margaret of Bavaria. Her five younger siblings included Charles III, Duke of Bourbon. He was killed in battle in May 1527 when he led the Imperial troops sent by Emperor Charles V against Pope Clement VII in what became the Sack of Rome. By dint of her three brothers having died childless, Louise became the heiress to the county of Montpensier and the dauphinate of Auvergne. The estates, however, had been sequestered by the French King Francis I (at the instigation of his mother, Louise of Savoy) when her brother Charles, Duke of Bourbon and Constable of France formed an alliance with Charles V. After the Duke's death at the seige of Rome, his fiefs were confiscated by the King. On 17 May 1530, she became the suo jure Duchess of Chatellerault, Countess of Forez, Baroness de Beaujeu, which had formed part of her brother Charles' inheritance, however the titles were revoked by the King in January 1532. Eventually some of her late brother's inheritance was restored to her. In February 1538, Louise was invested as Duchess of Montpensier, Dauphine of Auvergne, Baroness de La Tour and de la Bussičre by King Francis. . . . In 1499, Louise married her first husband, Andre III de Chauvigny, prince of Deols and vicomte de Brosse. The marriage was childless."

[2487] AKA Iaroslav I "Mudriy/the Wise" Grand Prince of Kiev, Izyaslav I reigned 1054-73. See G. Andrews Moriaty and Walter L. Sheppard, Jr. in The American Genealogist, 28:91-95, cf. 93. Izyaslav I married ca. 1043 Gertrude (d. 01-04-1107), dau. of Miesco, King of Poland. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/RUSSIA,%20Rurik.htm offers: "Iziaslav Iaroslavich, son of Iaroslav I 'Mudriy/the Wise' Grand Prince of Kiev & his second wife Ingigerd Olafsdottir of Sweden (1024-killed in battle Nezhatinaia Niva 3 Oct 1078, bur Kiev Church of the Holy Virgin). Prince of Turov. He succeeded on the death of his older brother in 1052 as Prince of Novgorod. In accordance with the terms of his father's testament, he succeeded in 1054 as Iziaslav I Grand Prince of Kiev. It is also likely that his territories included Novgorod and Pskov. He was deposed in Kiev by a mob which, dissatisfied with his refusal to attack the Kuman [Cumans], released Vseslav Prince of Polotsk from prison and proclaimed him Grand Prince of Kiev in Sep 1068, forcing Iziaslav to flee to Poland. Iziaslav I was restored in 1069 with the help of Boles?aw II King of Poland. He was deposed again in Kiev in 1073 by his younger brother Sviatoslav, restored again in 1077 after Sviatoslav died. He answered the call from his brother Prince Vsevolod for military support against their nephew Oleg Sviatoslavich, whom they defeated 3 Oct 1078 at Nezhatin Meadow near Chernigov. The Primary Chronicle records the death of Izyaslav son of Yaroslav in battle on the meadow of Nezhata 3 Oct 1078 and his place of burial." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iziaslav_I_of_Kiev.

[2956] The Rev. Hugo Schroeder (see under Mary's husband) believes her marriage date to be uncertain. Schroeder believes Peter may have m. (1) Ottila (shown with him in a 1738 Lancaster baptismal record), who may be mother of Mary Brillhart in 1743. Fran Allison states Mary d. in 1804. "A Genealogy and History of the Kauffman-Coffman Families," Charles Fahs Kauffman (York, PA: by author, n.d.), p. 690 states that Mary Meyer, daughter of John (who d. 1757), was wife of Peter Brillhart. "Mennonite Family History - Vol. 19, No. 1, January 2000", p. 15: "Mary Meyer, m. by 1756 Peter Brillhart, d. 1804. ...A Daughter of Peter and Mary Brillhart married Martin Feigley of Codorus. Their home was a regular meeting place for the congregation before a church was built. John Brillhart, one of the sons, moved to Rockingham County, Virginia, in 1797/98."

[24990] In 2007 http://www.answers.com/topic/boles-aw-iv-the-curly offers: "Boleslaw IV the Curly: Boleslaw Kedzierzawy; 1120-1173) was High Duke of Poland from 1146 until his death. He was the eldest surviving son of Boleslaw III Wrymouth, Duke of Poland, from his second marriage with Salome von Berg-Schelklingen, daughter of Henry, Duke of Berg. When their father died, Boleslaus' elder half-brother Vladislaus the Exile, Duke of Silesia, succeeded him as the overlord of all Polish. Young Boleslaus received the quarter of Masovia and Kujavia as his own in the partition, whereby he became also known as Boleslaus of Masovia. Younger half-brothers eventually drove Vladislaus to exile, and in 1146 Boleslaus thus became the technical overlord, and received the central principality of Cracow in addition to his own domains. He married the Russian princess Wierzchoslawa, and had one surviving son, Leszek of Masovia (the elder son, another Boleslaus, having predeceased the father), who succeeded him in the Masovian-Kujavian principality at the age of eleven or less. As overlord and holder of Cracow and Gnoezno, he however was succeeded by his next brother Mieszko III the Old, duke of Greater Poland."
[13766] Norman is son of Daniel Wise (b. 11 April 1837 in Green Twp., Summit Co., OH, d. 7 April 1914 at Ravenna, buried in Maple Grove Cem.) and Catherine Semler (b. 2 April 1841 in Germany, d. 9 May 1913 at Ravenna, buried with Daniel), married 16 Oct. 1864.
