He married Barbara Rudin on March 6, 1708, in Bubendorf, Basel-Country, Switzerland. They had four [known] children during their marriage. He died in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. Barbara Rudin was born on September 5, 1686, in Bubendorf, Basel-Country, Switzerland. . . . . She died in Northumberland, Pennsylvania."
