[26694] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothea_of_Denmark offers: "Because her husband suffered from fits of insanity since 1582, she fled in security. When he died in 1592, she became regent for her son George. She had a deep mistrust for the councillors because of their ill management of her husband's estates during his insanity. Dorothea was known as a capable and energetic regent."

[16434] "Biographical Encyclopedia of Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata & Perry Counties," p. 549: "John Shade was a native of Berks County and of German descent. The ancestors of the family in this country who spelled the name "Schadt" came from near Berlin, Germany and settled near Lancaster, PA. John was a stone mason and worked at his trade in both Berks and Mifflin Counties removing to the latter at an early day. He bought a small farm near McVeytown and later purchased 360 acres in Long Hollow, Wayne Twp., which he improved and cultivated and became a successful farmer and stockman, being assisted by his sons in the management of the farm. He married Mary Shoemaker a native of Berks County and their children were: John, Philip, Rebecca, Jacob S., William, and Samuel. John Shade died on the Old Homestead in 1856. He was a democrat and a member of the Lutheran Church."
