She passed away at her home in Hancock, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of R. Maynard and Florence R. (Worcester) Gray. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, husbands, Daniel Handy and Morrill Alley, a son, Donald J. Handy, brothers, Kenneth and Ralph Gray, two sisters, Beatrice Urquhart, Margaret Lenfesty, two sons-in-law, Ordman Alley and Tom Sawyer, two great-granddaughters, Brooke Alley and Brittany Alley Estes, a daughter-in-law, Donna M. Alley, and her very special dog Cuddles. Dorothy is survived by her seven children Donna H. Alley, Daniel Handy, Gary Alley, Sharon and Gail Fickett and husband, David, Larry Alley and partner Adel, Kathy Doyle and husband, Richard, Karen Sawyer, one daughter-in-law, Judy Handy, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Joanne Rathburn and Norma Milam and husband, Lew, many nieces and nephews, special friends Pastor James Herd, Annie Colby, Masha Pilz, Russel and Joyce Spofford and Roy and Mary Abbott, just to name a few."

"Donald Paullin, ten, died from a broken neck at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday when he was hit in the neck by a baseball at his home, one mile west of Jeromesville. He died shortly after the arrival of a physician.
"The boy was playing ball with his brothers and sisters while waiting for a Jeromesville school bus.
"Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Paullin; three brothers, Lemoine, Ralph Jr., and John; three sisters, Kathleen, Elizabeth and Mary and a grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Pearce of Lake Fork.
"Funeral services were conducted at the Reformed church at Mohican at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Short services were conducted at the home. Rev. Seibert in charge."

"Donald Marvin Paullin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Paullin, was born in Mohican, Ohio, on the 22nd day of August, 1925, died at his home near Jeromesville, April 28, 1936 at the age of 10 years, 8 months and 6 days. Donald had been in good health until the day of his death, when an unusual accident claimed his life. He was a boy of quiet disposition, well loved by everyone, but what is earth's loss is heaven's gain. He attended Sabbath school at Mohican.
"He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, three brothers, three sisters, one grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Pierce of Lake Fork, several aunts and uncles, relatives and friends. The church was filled to overflowing for the funeral. He was laid to rest in the Lake Fork cemetery."
