[45221] "Citizens Voice [Wilkes-Barre, PA], 13 June 1997," p. 48: "Marshall Rayannic, 83, Auburn Township, Meshoppen, died Thursday af Carpenter Care Center, Tunkhannock. He was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Peckville, son of the late Max and Olga Maciejowsky Rayannic. Before retiring, he was employed by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Montrose. Mr. Rayannic was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Brothers, John and Steve; sister, Mary Tomaskevitch, preceded him in death. Surviving are brothers, Michael, Meshoppen; Walter, Lake Winola; Nicholas, Scranton; sister, Anna Peregrim, Old Forge; nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. R. Sterling Smith, retired pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Jersey Hill Cemetery, Auburn Township."

Julia's obituary: "Julie was born November 1, 1920 in Quezaltenango, Guatemala, one of two children, she went to be with her Heavenly Father, April 28, 2013. Though her family grieves, we know she is with her Creator and her beloved Byron. She left a pampered life in Guatemala to live in the woods of Camano Island and Stanwood. Her first house was a one room at Heichel's Corner. She taught English at University of Oregon while Byron was a POW in WWII. Later after the children were grown, she worked at the Josephine Sunset Home and eventually owned and operated the health food store in Arlington until she retired. She is survived by her children, Ramiro Gereda, Susan Christianson, Nadine Heichel, Lynda Peck and Byron Heichel, Jr.; and nine grandchildren, Ramiro Jr., Rodrigo, Gabriella, Ricardo, Chad, Chip, Brett, Sarah and Rachel. . . .- Published in The Herald (Everett) on May 1, 2013."
