[50005] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 5 June 2019": "East Hartford, Conn. - Robert Grindle, 75, of East Hartford, Conn., passed away in his home Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. I have been tasked with writing my own obituary. Makes sense in a way. No one knows me as well as I know me. I was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Blue Hill. I came into this world as a chubby baby with wispy white hair; I leave the same way, fat with wispy white hair. I leave to celebrate my life; my three sons Gary, James and Matthew, their patient wives, Michelle, Nicki and Dianna. Six smart and wonderful grandchildren; Joshua, Ella, Hailey, Teagan, Tanner and Riley. They all know who belongs to whom. Conversely, I leave to celebrate my passing, my two ex-wives, who believe I am responsible for everything wrong in this world. Many memories were created along the way including my 43 mostly good years as an electronic tech at Pratt and Whitney. I go to join my parents and relatives in a family ceremony at Pine Grove Cemetery in Sedgwick. Robert was the son of Nora (Staples) and Basil Grindle. He is survived by, in addition to his sons and their families, his sister Barbara M. Grindle, brothers Jack and his wife, Barbara, Tom and his wife, May, Roger and his wife, Susan, and his brother-in-law Raymond McVay, their children and families. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Jane."

[42114] Find A Grave Memorial 34847337 offers Hattie's obituary: "Hattie Antinette Leymaster, the daughter of Frank and Lottie (McClain) McCarty, was born October 16, 1898, at Aurora, Nebraska, and passed away April 21, 1988, at Aurora, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 5 days. She grew up and attended school in the Aurora area. On June 16, 1915, she was united in marriage to Roy Leymaster at Grand Island. They farmed most of their married life in the Phillips area with the exception of from 1940-1945, when they lived in Minnesota and Oregon. They returned to the farm and remained there until 1960, when they retired and moved into Aurora. Roy preceded her in death on November 27, 1978. In December of 1985 she entered the Memorial Community Care Center in Aurora. Hattie was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was president of the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Happy Hour Extension Club. She made rag rugs for 15 years, until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant brother, and one sister. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Dean of Dixon, Missouri, Dale of Gresham, Oregon and Boyd of Aurora. One daughter Betty Jean Smith of Redding, California; 2 brothers, Winfred McCarty of Basking Ridge, New Jersey and Wayne McCarty of Joshua Tree, California; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren."

Elmer and his family are listed in Toboyne Twp., Perry Co., PA in the 19 June 1900 federal census - he as a merchant. In 1903 he moved his family to Shelby, Richland Co., OH where he worked in a hinge factory. His family were Methodists.
