Ancestry.com offers: "Cole Name Meaning - English: from a Middle English pet form of Nicholas. English: from a Middle English personal name derived from the Old English byname Cola (from col '(char)coal', presumably denoting someone of swarthy appearance), or the Old Norse cognate Koli. Scottish and Irish: when not of English origin, this is a reduced and altered form of McCool. In some cases, particularly in New England, Cole is a translation of the French surname Charbonneau. Probably an Americanized spelling of German Kohl."

[43752] Shamokin Daily News, 12 December 1931, p. 8: Wesley W. Frymire, old canalman and a veteran employee of the Sunbury Converting Works, passed away at his home at Sunbury following an illness of a week. Frymire had been engaged for the past few years as watchman at the upper gate of the converting plant. He came home from work a week ago yesterday, complaining of a severe cold and was forced to take his bed. A complication of diseases developed and he had been in a serious condition since that time, life slowly ebbing away until the sad end today. The deceased, during his younger days, was a riverman and great sportsman. He took logs from Lock Haven to Marietta, guiding the rafts thru the old canals and down the Susquehanna for a period of some years. When that mode of transportation gave way to the railroads, Mr. Frymire took a position at the converting works, where he had been employed for 20 years. His demise severs a happy marital union of 53 years. Mr. Frymire was married to Catharine Noll, of Millersburg, who is now seriously ill from a heart affliction.

'Guillelmus filius Ermengardæ dominus Montispessulani' issued a charter dated 1093. Seigneur de Montpellier. He took part in the First Crusade. Albert of Aix names 'ullelmus de Montphelyr'among those present with Adhémar Bishop of Le Puy on the First Crusade. Tudebodus names 'Willelmo de Monte Pislerio' ong those who sailed with Raymond de Saint-Gilles Comte de Toulouse in 1097 as part of the First Crusade. William of Tyre names 'illelmus de Monte Pessulano'among those present at the capture of Antioch in 1098. In Dec 1098, he commanded a contingent which captured Maarat an-Numan. Before going to Palestine, Guillaume [V] had borrowed money from Bernard Guillaume and Raimond Guillaume Bishop of Nîmes, both sons of Guillaume Aimon, giving in exchange several feudal rights which he strained to recover when he returned. William of Malmesbury records that 'William of Montpellier' accompanied the widow and young son of Raymond de Saint-Gilles Comte de Toulouse back to Europe in [1105]. In a charter dated 1114, he granted 'astellum d'Omelas' to 'Bernardo de Andusia fratri meo et infantium suis', which proves his mother's second marriage, although 'Europäische Stammtafeln' interprets this strangely as meaning that Bernard was the son of Guillaume [IV]. Under his testament dated 1121, 'Guillelmi Montispessulani, filii Ermeniardis' bequeathed the town of Montpellier to 'Guillelmo filio meo majori', the 'castra' of Aumelas, Montarnaud, Popian, Saint-Pons[-de-Mauchiens] and 'Maderns' {ruins in Fontès} {all Hérault} to 'Guillelmo filio meo minori', the 'castrum' of Villeneuve [-lès-Maguelonne, Hérault} to 'Bernardo filio meo', specifying the order of possible substitutions his daughters Guillemette, then Ermenardis and finally Adelais, and also specifying that his wife was pregnant requesting a male child to be made a monk at 'Sancti Salvatori Aniane'. - m ([1086/87]) Ermesende de Melgeuil, daughter of Pierre Comte de Melgueil & his wife Almodis de Toulouse. 'Petrus comes' granted his daughter to 'Guillelmum de Montepessulano' by charter dated to before 1093. Her name is confirmed by her son's charter which names him 'Guillelmus de Montispessulano, filius Ermesende'. 1121/1156. Under his testament dated 11 Dec 1146, 'Guillelmus de Montispessulano, filius Ermesende' mentions his mother as still alive ('pretera post obitum domine mee matris, infirmis')."
