Death was attributed to complications. He had been in the hospital three davs. Born January 14. 1894 in Leck Kill, the son of the late William and Catherine Geist, Mr. Geist was engaged as a farmer before turning to the hotel business. He was proprietor of the Geist Hotel at Pitman for many years before retiring several years ago. Suviving are his wife, the former Bessie Snyder; two adopted sons, John and Ronald, at home; two brothers, Morris Geist, Sunbury, and John, of Tower City; and fou;r sisters, Mrs. Ray Haas, of Lebanon; Mrs. Robert Wolfgang, Klingerstown; .Mrs. Lester Reitz, of Leck Kill; and Edna Geist, Sunbury. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. in the late residence in charge of Rev. John Light, Reformed pastor of the Line Mountain charge. Burial will be in Howerters cemetery, Pitman."
