Ernst, 26 North Eighth street, Milton, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from complications. Mrs. Paul, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Moll Beck, was born in Montour county August 22, 1863, and lived practically her entire married life in West Milton. Because of failing health she moved to the home of her daughter six months ago. She was a member of the White Deer Lutheran Church. Surviving also are one son, Leroy, of Lewisburg, R. D., ten grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren; and one brother John A. Beck, of New Columbia R. D. Funeral services will be held from the Dale E. Rank Funeral Parlors at Milton Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Ernest Bottiger, pastor of White Deer Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be made in White Deer Church cemetery."

[12920] Marcia's obituary: "Marcia Joyce Hutchins, born in Castine on May 25, 1944, passed away on November 7, 2018, at the age of 74. She lived her entire life in Penobscot with her parents Hoyt Trafton Hutchins and Pauline Alfreda (Elliott) Hutchins who lovingly nurtured her in a caring community of family and friends. Her pesky brother built a home next door to her to be sure she would have plenty of teasing in her life and she adored being Auntie Marcia to his children and grandchildren. Marcia was predeceased by her father, and her sister, Gertrude Nancy Hutchins. She leaves her mother; brother, Sherman Hoyt Hutchins I and wife, Patricia Lynn (Leach); nephew, Sherman Hoyt Hutchins II and wife, Rebecca Ann (Cunningham); niece, Joyce Nancy (Hutchins) and husband, David Matthew Tarr; nephew, Allison Harland Hutchins and wife, Stacey Lynn (Peasley); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Erika and Julie Hutchins; Ellenore, Grace, Ruth, and Margaret Tarr; and Hoyt, Cora, Trafton, and Harland Hutchins. She also leaves three special aunts, Nancy Atkins, Joyce Caldwell, and Georgia Hutchins; and many cousins. Marcia made friends very easily, she loved company, and enjoyed shopping - especially because it gave her opportunity to "chat." Most of her shopping was for yarn, books, notebooks, and baby clothes for expectant mothers and for her own collection of baby dolls. The product of her busy hands this past year will be seen at Christmas time when each of her ten grand nieces and nephews will receive an afghan made by her."

A file in Ancestry.com in 2013 offers: “Either John, who farmed the manor of Ramridge 1475 - 1484, or Robert, from 1493 - 1497. It is not certain which of these two men was the father of these children, but an analysis of the evidence indicates that they were siblings.
“Thomas (1465 - ????) Weyhill, England -- Thomas Noyes was mentioned with his cousins, the children of his uncle Robert Noyes, in several suits concerning the entail of the manor of Littleton in the parish of Kimpton. In a suit before the Court of Requests, it was recorded that Jone Noyes, widow [of Robert, Sr], Robert Noyes [Jr], Wyll[ia]m Noyes, John Noyes the brother of the said Robert, Nych[o]las Noyes, Thomas Noyes, Emma wife of said Robert, John Noyes son of the said Robert, Jone Noyes and Anne Noyes daughters of the said Robert leased the manor of Lytleton with appurtenances from the Abbot of the Monastery of St. Peters of Gloucester. This transaction took place 4 April 15 Henry VIII [1524] and was for the term of 61 years.
"'Thomas Noyes of Ramridge in the parish of Weyhill was taxed many times in goods 15 Henry VIII [1523/4]. By the year 1552/3 he had conveyed a substantial portion of his estate to his son Robert and grandson John.'
“The record goes on to say that Thomas Noyes and all but the children of Robert were of majority. On 16 July 24 Henry VIII [1532], another deed was drawn up leasing the manor to joan Noyes the widow, Robert Noyes, Emme, John Noyes the son, Jone the daughter and Anne Noyes, and Margery, Agnes, Mary, Ede, and Cecely, daughters of Robert and Emme [born since the previous contract], to hold for a period of 70 years so long as they should live.
“Nicholas St. John countered that Joan Noyes, widow, and Robert meant to defraud William, John and Nicholas Noyes, the brethren of Robert [1467 - 1524], and Thomas Noyes (cousin). Nicholas Seyntjohn had purchased the rights from various parties to the first lease. Nicholas Noyes granted their interest to him at Remrygge [Ramridge], Hampshire. It was after purchasing those rights that Nicholas Seyntjohn attempted to enter the manor forcibly. The suit in question was apparently dated 22 June 6 Edward VI [1552].
“Robert Annetts, of Vyfylde [Fifield], Hants, husbandman, aged 52, deposed that he knew Robet Noyes, father of Robert Noyes, who had taken a lease of the manor of Lytylton long before the above mentioned leases. He leased the manor as Robert Noyes the father, with Jone his wife, Willm Noyes, John Noyes, Nicholas Noyes (children) Robarte Noyes now complainant and to Thomas Noyes cousin of Robarte Noyes the father. This deposition proves the relationship of Thomas Noyes to the others.

[5616] Diana's father, the eighth Earl Spencer, died 29 March 1992 in London of a heart attack at age 68. He divorced Diana's mother and in 1976 married Raine McCorquodale of Dartmouth, daughter of the best-selling romance novelist, Barbara Cartland. The Princess, who has two older sisters and a younger brother, was brought up at her father's house on The Queen's Estate at Sandringham and also at Althorp House (not Althorp village), the family home. A note in Ancestry.com in 20132 offers: "Thomas B.5 Swearingen (John4, Thomas3 Vansweringen, Garrett2, David Janse1 Swieringh) was born September 23, 1728 in Montgomery County, Md., and died October 15, 1794 in Montgomery Co., Md.. He married (2) Ruth Beall 1750.
Notes for Thomas B. Swearingen: Thomas B. Swearingen's birth is recorded in Episcopal Church Records in Queen Anne Parish (which is now Prince George Co. He is listed as son of John and Mary. It is not certain that he has the initial "B" in his name. Some researchers have so stated.
Prince George's Episcopal Church records, which included a chapel in what is now Montgomery County, lists the following:
Mary Swearingen, b. 19 August, 1760, daughter of Thomas and Ruth
Abed (Obed) Swearingen, b. 28 May, 1762, son of Thomas and Ruth
Samuel Swearingen, b. 22 November, 1765, son of Thomas and Ruth
On June 1, 1775, Thomas Swearingen purchased 103 acres of the tract Trouble Enough, from Alexander Beall, for 20 pounds. FC Deeds BD#2 f.5
In 1778 Thomas Swearingen, planter, purchased from William Baker, doctor, 79 acres of Amelias Dislike (Millys), for 395 pounds. MC Deeds A. f158.
in 1779 William Baker executed a deed conveying to Thomas, part of Millys Dislike and part of the adjoining Resurvey on Batchelors Forest, totaling 569 acres, for 5000 pounds. MC Deeds A. f. 430. This is an incredibly large sum of money for that time.
MC Deeds Book A. f. 530: Dated July 17, 1780: Thomas Swearingen, planter, bought 230 acres of Bradfords Rest "beginning at a bounded hickory standing on the east side of Rock Creek and in the lines of a parcel formerly leased out of Bradfords Rest unto maurice Fitzgerald and running thence up the creek." He paid 1000 pounds.
In 1789, Thomas bought five lots, totaling 907 and 1/2 acres, from George Plater of St. Marys County for 10 pounds. They were part of Bradfords Rest, Lott #1 containing 396 acres; Lotts#4, 6, and 8, 365 and 1/2 acres; and Lott#12, 146 acres. The descriptions of the lots mentioned adjoining lots, leased to Nicholas Baker, to Samuel Glaze, to Barbary Williams, and to Thomas Swearingen.
Aaron Prather, Sr. executed a deed on March 155, 11793, conveying to Thomas Swearingen, for 150 pounds, 73 acres of Resurvey on Plain Dealing, together with houses, out houses, orchards, woods, underwoods, pastures, waterways and so on. This is most probably the same Aaron Prather married to Thomas' daughter, Mary Swearingen.
The 1777 Montgomery County tax list showed Thomas Swearingen at Rock Creek Hundred with 7 taxables.
The 1790 Montgomery Ciunty Census lists Thomas Swearingen with 2 males 16 years and over, 3 males under 16 years, 6 females, and 21 slaves.
