[879] Dorcas m. James Andrews ("The Genealogist" [1982], p. 59) and in August, 1676 was among the refugees from Casco stranded on an island awaiting rescue from the Native American terror ("Gen. Dict. of ME & NH", p. 21). "Cleeve Family Registry," Alice Mitchell Branson et alii (privately duplicated typescript; June, 1983) states James Andrews d. 5 May 1704 and had m. (2) in Boston, MA 6 Aug 1696 Margaret (Phipps) Haley. Dorcas and James had seven children; one of them, James, Jr., m. his first cousin Elinor Brackett.
