[19826] Alfonso XI married his first cousin, Maria of Portugal. He had a son with an unknown mistress, Henry ("Enrique II") of Trastamara who reigned 1369-1379. Alfonso XI joined Alfonso IV of Portugal to crush the resurgent Moors in Spain in the Battle of the Salado River, 30 October 1340. (Alfonso XI was only two years old when his father died, and the succession was disputed by an uncle, a grand-uncle and a third cousin of the infant heir - the pretenders established centers of authority in Leon, Toledo and Seville.)

[803] John had resided in Barberton, OH for 22 years at the time of his death, and founded Harig Auto Parts (which he sold upon retirement). He was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Barberton Elks, Fraternal Order of Police Associates, Rotary (and was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International). He was a Republican, and active in Barberton politics. Before he opened his own business, John was employed for 19 years at Shriber Auto Parts in Akron. He was a founding board member of Interval Brotherhood Home, a premier dependancy addiction rehabilitation facility.
