He and Elizabeth had Elizabeth Comyn, d. by 17 Feb 1329, m. Gilbert de Umfreville, Earl of Angus (b. 1244, d. by 13 Oct 1307), son of Gilbert de Umfreville and Maud, dau. of Malcolm, Earl of Angus. Cf. http://www.electricscotland.com/webclans/earldoms/chapter2s1.htm which states: "Alexander, Earl of Buchan, was present at the great meeting of the Estates, held at Scone on the 5th of February, 1284, in which the Kings granddaughter, Margaret, the Maid of Norway, was declared to be heiress of the Crown of Scotland. On the death of Alexander III. in 1286, the Earl of Buchan was appointed one of the Guardians of Scotland for the districts on the north of the Forth: while John Comyn, Lord of Badenoch, was elected one of the Guardians of the kingdom on the south of the Forth. At this time the Comyns were the most powerful family in Scotland. Buchanan says, in his History of Scotland, that 'the power of this family has never been equalled in Scotland, either before or since.'"

[4350] In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BURGUNDIAN%20NOBILITY.htm offers: "Guillaume [I] de Nevers, son of Renaud I Comte de Nevers & his wife Hedwige de France (-20 Jun 1100, bur Nevers, Saint-Etienne). 'Wilelmi filii eorum' signed the charter of 'Rainaldus comes Nivernensis' dated [1028/40]. He succeeded his father in 1040 as Comte de Nevers et d'Auxerre. 'Willelmus Nivernensis comes' made a donation to Cluny dated 13 Dec 1097. The 'Annales Nivernenses' record the death in 1098 of 'Willelmus comes Nivernesium', but 'Willelmi comitis' is named in a charter dated 1 May 1100 relating to a donation to Saint-Cyr although this could refer to Comte Guillaume [II]. The necrology of the abbey of Saint-Denis records the death 'XII Kal Jul" of 'Guillelmus comes Nivernensis'. - m firstly ([1039]) Eemengarde Ctss de Tonnerre, daughter of Renaud [I] Comte de Tonnerre & his wife Helvis --- (-before 1090). She is named as daughter of Rainaldus and Helvis in charters1166. Her marriage is referred to in the 'Gesta pontificum'. She succeeded to the county of Tonnerre in 1065 when her cousin Comte Hugues-Rainard became bishop of Langres. - m secondly (before 1085) Mathilde, daughter of ---. The primary source which confirms her marriage has not so far been identified."
