He was born in Eastbrook June 15, 1936, the son of Clyde Woodrow and Maye G. (Colby) Bunker. Scott graduated from Ellsworth High School Class of 1954. He served as chief master sergeant in the Air National Guard for 35 years and retired in 1992. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and mentor. He also enjoyed playing guitar with his family and friends. Abrahms Pond, Bog River and Bull Hill Camp are where you would most likely find him on the trail of a deer or with a rod in his hand. Scott was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50-plus years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charleen Brown Bunker; children, Scott (Skip) Bunker and wife, Elizabeth, of Sacramento, Calif., Kris Bunker Littlefield and partner Lori Bresnahan of Hermon and Timothy Bunker and wife, Elizabeth, of Bucksport; grandchildren, Jason and Matthew Littlefield, Taylor and Michaela Bunker, Dylan and Danny Bunker; four great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Bunker (Fred) and wife, Noni, of Virginia; sisters, Judy Veillette and Nancy Hardison and husband, Larry, all of Eastbrook. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother-in-law, Norman Veillette."

"The Paternal Ancestry of Homer Beers James" at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~pmcbride/james/f037.htm offers: "William de Mowbray, the eldest son, successor to his father, in the 6th year of King Richard I., paying 100 pounds for his relief, had livery of his lands. This feudal lord, upon the accession of King John, was tardy in pledging his allegiance, and at length only swore fealty upon the condition that "the king should render to every man his right." At the breaking out of -the baronial war, it was no marvel then, that he should be found one of the most forward of the discontented lords, and so distinguished, that he was chosen with his brother, Roger, among the twenty-five celebrated barons appointed to enforce the observance of the Magna Charta. At one time he was governor of York Castle. He was a party to the "Covenant for holding the City and Tower of London," and one of those whom the Pope excommunicated. In the reign of King Henry III., adhering to the same cause, he was at the battle of Lincoln, and taken prisoner there, when his lands were seized, and bestowed upon William Marshall, the younger, the Surety of the Magna Charta, but he was subsequently allowed to redeem them. After which he appears to have attached himself to the king, and was with the royal army at the siege of Bitham Castle, in Lincolnshire. William "gave, before his death, for his soul and that of his brother William de Tanton, the homage and service due in Skutherskelf to Healaugh Priory" - William de Tanton was his wife's deceased brother from whom she inherited the family estates. {-N.E.Hist.Gen.Register 120:170} Is he the William de Mowbray who was among the northern barons who rose against King John in 1215, or perhaps a son? Ebenezer farmed opposite the present Berzini's Garage (1997) in Penobscot, ME, the farm ending at the small creek which runs into the Northern Bay near Hutchins Point. He and Clarissa are buried on the farm. He served as Justice of the Peace and in the Maine legislature, 1831-32. He and Mary also had sons named Ebenezer born in 1821 and 1825 according to Mormon records.
