'Bobby Joe' Heichel, 66, of Green Springs, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fremont to Lyle Lamar and Maude (Daniels) Craig. She graduated from Green Springs High School in 1951 and served as the senior class secretary. She married Richard E. Heichel on Sept. 22, 1951, and he survives. Mrs. Heichel was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Golden Threads and Keen Age Club at Old Fort Bank. She was a Sunday school teacher, Green Springs town band member, 4-H adviser and Camp Fire leader. She was the former president of the Clyde-Green Springs Music Boosters and a member of the OCCL and Tops. Mrs. Heichel owned the Snack Basket and was potluck chair of Haines City Trailer Park, Florida. Also surviving are daughters Johanna Marie Staples of Lambertville, Mich., Cynthia Lynn Home and Penny Sue DuBois of Green Springs, Virginia Lee Heichel of Montpelier and Teresa Kay Cruz of Yakima, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and sister Elthea Buskirk of Tiffin. Her parents, brothers Karl and Roy Craig and sisters Rebecca Boudrie and Ellen Mae Behrendsen are deceased."
