With his second wife, Aves Ellas, he had Annes (b. ca. 1571/2 in Harrietsham). In St. Mildred's Church in Tenterden, co. Kent, is a plaque listing Rectors of the church including a John Hikelyng in 1429 - could he be related to John? Ricardo Rains states that Bills is the surname of his son, John's, wife!, m. 09-Oct-1553!!
