[5427] AKA Ansfred d'Hiesmer.
[9280] Todd r. Eddington, ME in April, 1999. Cheryl (Hodgins) Cunney (jccc@sierratel.com) wrote via email 8 Nov 1998: "I was admiring your database when I came across something new. You have a Frederick Hodgins, Jr in yours, as I do in mine. I was wondering if his parents were Frederick Hodgins, Sr and Margaret H. Doane. Frederick, Sr was born 04/23/1923 in Brewer, ME and died 05/31/1993. He died in FL and was shipped to the Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, ME. I went to his grave site in September when I went home. On the stone was "CPL US Army Air Force, WWII". His obituary told me he was the supervisor for Fleisher Finishing Company in Waterbury, CT. He was a member of the VFW Lodge in CT and was a US Army veteran of WWII. Margaret (Maggie) H. Doane was born in 1925. She is still living and still resides in FL. I think they moved there for their retirement years. Fred, Sr was my Great Uncle."
[15154] An Ostella [sic] appears age 10 in the household of Thomas Hollinger, farmer, in Mohican Twp., Ashand Co., OH in the 1880 census. Thomas' wife is Sophronia and their other chidren at home are Alfred (age 8) and Esta (5).
[23281] Ancestral File (8P7D-VK) gives her husband as Nicholas Norton, and her dates and parents: Joseph Isaac (b. ca 1587/88 in England, d. 11 May 1642 in England) and Elizabeth _____ (m. ca. 1615 in England). Note: this information is not verified, and the date of her daughter's birth would make the mother age 57 at that time - not probable! See "The History of Martha's Vineyard...," Charles E. Banks (Edgartown, MA: Dukes Co. Historial Society, 1966), Vol. 2, pp. 89-90.
[22721] This person is presumed living.
[7836] Born into a Lithuanian peasant family, Catherine was orphaned young. She m. at age 18 a Swedish dragoon who deserted her eight days later. She then became mistress to several important men and fell into the hands of a major Russian political figure who introduced her to Peter Romanov, who married her after she bore him three children. It was Catherine, after Peter's death, who carried out his plans for exploration in the Pacific Ocean, commissioning Vitus Bering 5 Feb 1725 as Fleet Captain for this purpose.
[13478] This person is presumed living.
[11577] Samuel is son of William W. Snyder and Mary Kistler. He farmed in Spring Twp. before moving to New Bloomfield. His wife, Alice, was active in Christ Lutheran Church there.
[3050] http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~athertonb/lda30060.htm reports without documentation that Margaret is daugher of Nicholas de Veteripont and that Margaret d. ca. 1439 in Co. Durham.
