[18747] Jacob moved to Philadelphia and in 1751 m. Susanna Rittenhouse in the German Reformed Church. Susanna was b. 1726 in Roxborough and d. in 1808. In 1770 Jacob was in partnership with his brother-in-law shipping goods to the South. During the War for Independence Jacob raised a company of militia and was commissioned captain. Children: Michael, George, William, Mary, Jacob, Susan and Michael II.
