This source states Godfrey is son of William Dearborn (b. 1562 in Willoughby, Lincolnshire, d. 5 Nov 1631 there) and Agnes Hay (b. 1573 in Devonshire, d. 29 Aug 1613 in Willoughby, m. 2 May 1594 in Markby, Lincolnshire).

The land for the homestead was purchased from the Penn family.
