[2476] William m. (2) (1749) Hannah Cole, widow of Reuben Higgins. William moved to Falmouth, Maine in 1735/6. He was 11 or 12 when his father moved the family to Truro, Mass. He was a cordwainer. He married Hannah Strout before "Mr. Samuel Treat." {See "Desc. of Edward Small of New England," (Revised) by Underhill, 1934, III:1312.} The Dyers resided in what is now South Portland where he owned much land and was a prominent citizen.
