[28740] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Frederick_III,_Duke_of_Saxe-Hildburghausen offers: "He was the eldest son of Ernst Frederick II, Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen and Caroline of Erbach-Fürstenau. He succeeded his father as Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen when he was only eighteen years old in 1745; as a result his mother, the Dowager Duchess Caroline, acted as a regent on his behalf until he reached adulthood, in 1748. Ernst Frederick was considered to be intelligent, talented, and one of the most beautiful princes of his time. He donated a library to the city, but finally his excessive prodigality in exaggerated yard and military splendor drew the attention of the highest places to the financial situation of his country."

[83] Wallace H. Nolin reports: "On 9 June 1877 both Taylor and Elizabeth Wise were placed in the Ashland Co. Jail for grand larceny. They were released on 11 June 1877. On 23 June 1877 Taylor Wise, alone, was jailed in Ashland for grand larceny and was released on 2 July 1877; on the same day he was returned to jail where he remained for 64 days until he was transferred to the Ohio Penitentary in Columbus on 24 September 1877...sentenced to five years...on 30 October 1878 at 4:50 p.m. Taylor Wise was killed by machinery in the Car Wheel Foundry. The disposition of his body is not known." He was a farmer. He was 6'1/2" tall and well-built, had brown eyes and hair, a high, broad forehead and eye brows that were heavy, straight and joined. His nose was large and straight and his ears were small and stood out. He had a "common" complexion and a small scar on the right side of the back of his head out of which some grey hair grew. The prison report continues, "He was temperate in his behavior and had a common school education."
