His birth date is from his World War I draft registration which states he farmed at Shermansdale, Perry Co., PA (Carroll Twp.). "The Perry County Times [New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania], 18 March 1954," p. 8: "Enola, March 18 - D. Harry Sheibley, 70, retired Perry County farmer who was formerly proprietor of a store in West Fairview, died of a heart attack Sunday, March 14, at his home at 209 Enola Road. Son of the late John T. and Jane R. Yost Sheibley, he farmed for many years in Carroll Township. He had been a member of Youngs Evangelical United Brethren Church, near Shermans Dale, since 1906. Surviving are six sons, Lester, of Shermans Dale; Paul, of Middlesex Township; Charles, of Elliottsburg ; Marlin, of Landisburg; Harold, of North Middleton Township; and Melvin, of Bellewool ; two daughters, Mrs. Owen Ebersole, Duncannon, R. D. 1, and Mrs. Melvin Sheibley, Marysville, R. D. 1; a half-brother, Samuel T. Shebiley, Springfield, Ill.; a half-sister, Mrs. Henrietta Adams, Chicago; and 25 grandchildren."
