This couple and further ancestors of Oliver Cromwell Pratt are from the unverified database of Clifford E. Odenkirk, on the web in 2003 at http://www.odenkirk.com/html/fam02778.htm - also see "Probate Records of Middlesex Co., MA from 1648-1871" # 17911, 1763; # 17914-5, 1767. Further also see "New England Families," William Richard Cutter (Clearfield Co.), Vol. 4, p. 2003. Also see http://members.fortunecity.com/johnsongenealogy/id210.htm#1__weygenp_txt Rand and Sharon Johnson shared via email (rdjhnsn@peoplepc.com) in 2003: "Much of our data is based on the Bellows database at http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=bellows&id=I06431. Up to Oliver Pratt and Sarah Willard, this website and the Odenkirk website dovetail, for the most part. What seems possible, is that Oliver Cromwell Pratt is the grandson of Oliver Pratt and Sarah Willard (rather than the son, since if his birth date of 1761 is accurate, his father would have been 60/61 - not impossible but pretty uncommon). Also, there would be a discrepancy resulting from Oliver & Sarah Willard Pratt naming a second son Oliver before the first one had died (again - not impossible, but certainly uncommon)."
http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?Oliver,Pratt::pratt::5190.html offers: "Oliver Pratt Sr (Henry, Aaron, Phineas) was born on 4 Dec 1711 in Needham, Norfolk, Ma. Posted on http://www.findagrave.com in 2009:
From Probate Records of Middlesex County, Massachusetts from 1648-1871; concerning Oliver Pratt: Administration # 17911, 1763; administration # 17914, 1767; guardian papers # 17915, 1767 - Oliver Pratt, the son of Henry, was born 4 December 1711 in Needham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. On December 17, 1734 he married Sarah Willard of Newton. Oliver died at the relatively young age of 53. At that time five of the nine children were under age and guardian papers had to be issued to assure that they were taken care of. The widow, Sarah, married again in 1774 to Mr. Peter Bent. Occupation: refiner. At the time (1750) of his father's death he lived in Taunton, Massachusetts. Burial: about 21 May 1763 in Old Burying Ground, Centre Street Cemetery, Needham, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
"The Drury Death Book," reprinted in the NEHGR, Vol 65 (1911), p. 357 lists his death 27 May 1763 and records him "of Newton". This source, p. 358, records another as "Oliver Pratt 2 of Newton, died Jan'ry 15, 1767".
