The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines refers to the only daughter of 'comes de Brena super Albam Engelbertus' & his [second] wife as wife of 'Stephano . . . de Vallibus. Dudon abbé de Montiérender recalls the marriage of 'Engelbert de Brienne . . . une sur vierge' and 'Etienne de Joinville' in a charter dated before 15 May 1027."
