Leonard's first wife was Mary. Carol Anderson, P. O. Box 391, Meredith, NH 03253, wrote 24 Dec 1992 that Mary's surname is Redman, and she is dau. of John and Margaret (Knight) Redman, that Mary was b. 15 Dec. 1649, and that Leonard m. (2) Elizabeth Haines (dau. of Samuel and Eleanor [Neate] Haines). Carol is Weeks family historian. Her reference is "Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and NH," by Noyes, Libby and Davis (Balt.: Gen. Pub. Co., 1983), p. 579. Vivian I. Kenniston Conner had given her name as Mary Haines, sister of Leonard's second wife, apparently relying on the Haines genealogy of 1902. Ancestral File (of the LDS Church)[file AFN:51F8-SS] gives her name as Mary Elizabeth Haines, second wife of Leonard, and lists (in this order!) these children:
1. Margaret WEEKS (AFN:95BP-TV)
Born: 4 Jun 1679 Place: Greenland, Rockingham Co., NH
Died: WFT Est 1707-1773
2. Mary Haines WEEKS (AFN:95BD-TM)
Born: 19 Jul 1676 Place: Of, Greenland, NH
Died: 1740 Place: Greenland, NH
Buried: 1740 Place: Greenland, NH
3. Hillamara WEEKS (AFN:QZZT-VN)
Born: ca. 1674 Place: Greenland, NH
4. Capt. Samuel WEEKS (AFN:95BN-1L)
Born: 14 Dec 1670 Place: Greenland, NH
Died: 26 Mar 1746 Place: Greenland, NH
Buried: Greenland, NH
5. Joshua WEEKS (AFN:95BN-3X)
Born: 30 Jun 1674 Place: Greenland, NH
Died: 13 Jun 1758 Place: Greenland, NH
Buried: Jun 1758 Place: Greenland, NH
6. Joseph WEEKS (AFN:95BN-2R)
Born: 11 Mar 1672 Place: Greenland, NH
Died: 27 Nov 1735 Place: Greenland, NH
7. Sarah WEEKS (AFN:95BP-V2)

8. Jonathan WEEKS (AFN:95BN-44)
Born: 27 Jan 1678 Place: Greenland, NH
Died: 27 Jun 1748 Place: Greenland, NH
Buried: Greenland, NH
Her reputed birthplace, Dover, is New Hampshires oldest permanent settlement, and the 7th oldest in the country. One of the colony's four original townships, it once included Durham, Lee, Madbury and Newington.
