Marie d' Alsace - this information is not verified. Laura Lewis posted in 2003 on http://awt/ancestry.com that Bodilon, b. in Austria, is son of Ansound, Bishop of St. Luitvin (son of Garnier I de Treves, b. ca. 550 in Bourgogne, France). http://www.trier.de states that Treves is the oldest city in Germany. "The Columbia Encyclopedia" (6th Edition) reports that Treves (or Trier) is the "Latin 'Augusta Treverorum', city (1994 pop. 99,183), Rhineland-Palatinate, SW Germany, a port on the Moselle River, near the Luxembourg border."
