He was born in Pennsylvania and came to California in 1896, settling first in Kingsburg, and later moving to Fresno district. McAninch is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Mary R. Hale of Malaga, Mrs. Blanche Allison of Fig Garden, Mrs. Lula Dennis of Selma; Mrs. Myrtle Taylor of Fall River and Mrs. Lily Mitchell of Martinez; twenty five grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild."
