Alexander, b. 1649 in St, Andrews Parish, Fife Co., Scotland, emigrated about 1666 to Maryland, son of Alexander (called 'brabener' or weaver in parish records) and wife Margaret Ramsey. Emigrant Alexander m. Elizabeth _____ and they had John Beall (1688-1742) whose wife was Verlinda (b, 1690, m. 1712), daughter of Capt. Samuel Magruder. John founded Beall Town, now Bladensburg, MD. The wills of John and Verlinda each list children, but no Mary! Johns will was written 7 April 1742 and recorded 18 May 1742. Pp. 11-12: Emigrant Alexander was a Trustee of the Presbyterian Church at its inception - the land was donated by Col. Ninian Beall 20 November 1704. Alexander accompanied the minister and others and participated in the first multi-congregation organization of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America in December 1706 - he is a founder of the denomination in the nation.
