He was a member and past master of Hancock Lodge 4, AF and AM, a charter member and past president of the Castine Lions Club, a life member of the S. K. Whiting Chapter, O.E.S., a member of Castine Grange 250, and an honorary member of the Castine Men's Club. He owned and operated his own business in Castine for over 50 years. He served m the Army during World War I. He is survived by his wife, Marie O., of Castine; a son, Willis, of Castine; two grandchildren, Marcia Mower of Castine, and Everett Leach of Castine; and several nieces and nephews."
