[52780] Mary is said to be daughter of Jonathan Emery (1652-1723) & Mary Woodman (1654-1723; m. 29 November 1676 in Newbury, Essex Co., MA). Find A Grave memorial 132773069 offers: "According to Mayflower Families Vol. 6 (Stephen Hopkins), P. 178, a Family historian suggests her surname was Hoag (Note that John Hoog of Newbury and Amesbury M. Ebenezer Emery and had children rec. at Newbury 1669-87.) Bowman suggests that Emary's surname waqs Hallett. Mike Kelly of Sunnyvale has advocated that her name was actually Mary Emary, and that she was a daughter of Jonathan Emary of Salem, Mass, a granddaughter of John Emary. The wife of Israel Cole was demised from the church at Harwich in April 1710. This may suggest that Israel's (first) wife was from Harwich and a member of the church there, and that they married shortly prior to April 1710, after which she left Harwich to live with her new husband in Eastham."

[44236] William and his wife Juliana favored the Lutheran cause. Their eldest son, William "the Silent" became a Calvinist. The founder of the house of Nassau is probably Drutwin (d.1076) who built a castle on a hill overlooking the Lahn near the present town of Nassau. His descendant Walram (d. 1198) took the title Count of Nassau - Walram's grandsons, Walram and Otto, divided the paternal inheritance, founding two branches of the house. Otto's descendants held The Lowlands and include William, Count of Nassau. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kvenjb/genealogy_nl/nassau/nassau_tekst.htm reports: "William I the Rich (1489-1555), Count of Nassau, Vianden and Dietz, married 1st 1506 Walburgis of Egmond (1489-1529), 2nd 1531 Juliana of Stolberg-Wenigerode (1506-1580), . . . widow of Philip II of Hanau-Münzenberg (1501-1529)."
