[739] Heather Waddingham (lilman@host.king.igs.net) shared 5/97 that Arthur was b. ca. 1620 in Plympton Parish, St. Maurice, Plymouth, Devonshire, and settled at York, ME about 1655 (per Leonard Tibbetts correspondence). She also furnished some of the information in succeeding generations shown here. http://rasreth.com/genealogy/gp520.html states Arthur m. Elizabeth Watts and gives his birth information as 1620 in Plympton Parish, Plymouth, England. "History of York, Maine," Charles Edward Banks (Baltimore: Regional Publishing Co., 1967), Vol. 1, p. 258 lists him among 22 remonstrants from York County in 1680 who opposed the overlordship of Massachusetts over the Province of Maine.
