Thelma was born March 25, 1922, in Blue Hill, daughter of Forrest A. and Julia (Grindle) Eaton. She graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1940, and married Harold L. Gray, Oct. 7, 1942, before he joined the war effort in the Pacific Theater. Thelma was a wonderful wife and devoted mother who was always ready with a meal or words of encouragement for those around her in need. She was a longtime Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Sedgwick. She will be lovingly remembered as 'Grammie' by Darlene, Darin, Angela and Andrew, and all who knew her will remember her lively sense of humor and laughter. Thelma and Harold worked with Hospital Chaplaincy for many years, supporting several local nursing homes. She is survived by her two sons, Darrell Gray and wife, Jeanette, and Dana Gray and wife, Elisabeth, both of Blue Hill; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Harold; and all her siblings."
