[51692] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 8 February 2017": "Bar Harbor - Leslie Maurice Crockett, 84, loving husband of Myrle Norwood Crockett, passed on Jan. 24, 2017, after a period of declining health. Les was born Sept. 10, 1932, to Herbert and Grace Wing Crockett. Les worked a significant part of his adult life for the Rockefeller family, and cherished his long friendship with David Rockefeller. Les enjoyed attending the Hayseeders Way Back Ball, and many Maine Academy of Country Music events, as a dedicated member of both organizations. Les also enjoyed lobstering and time in his greenhouse and gardens, where he grew vegetables for the farm stand he and Myrle ran. Leslie particularly loved RVing with his family. In addition to his wife of 64½ years, Leslie is survived by his sons Wayne of Houston, Texas, and David and his partner, Muriel, of Prospect; daughter-in-law Joy Crockett of Auburn; grandchildren, Shaun of Hermon, Scott of Falls Church, Va., Brian of Grants, N.M., Jamie of Ellsworth, Kayla and her children, Tyler, Cameron and Annabelle, of Bar Harbor; sister Belva Crockett Murphy and husband, Lawrence, of Ellsworth; sister-in-law Janett Norwood Muise and husband, Sherwood, of Otter Creek; Maybelle Norwood Montgomery of Tullahoma, Tenn.; brother-in-law Lloyd Norwood and wife, Judy, of Northeast Harbor. Leslie was predeceased by his parents, brothers Clifford (Nick) Crockett and Herbert Crockett Jr., and beloved son James M. Crockett."

He contributed to the public cost of an expedition against the Nanticoke Indians in 1678; appointed by the General Assembly of Maryland, in 1683, a Commissioner to purchase sites and lay out towns, etc., and was a prominent, influential citizen of Anne Arundel Co., Md.; at his death he left a will whereby he bequeathed to his wife and children, several thousand acres of land, silver plate, etc. He m. [52164] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 12 December 2009": "SW Harbor - Warren Allen Workman, 83, died Dec. 12, 2009, in Bar Harbor. He was born July 6, 1926, in Nashua, N.H., a son of the late Augustus and Lena (Joy) Workman. Warren moved to Maine was he was 6 years old. He joined the Army in 1944, serving in World War II. In 1983 Warren retired from Jackson Laboratory after 33 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 69, Southwest Harbor. Warren was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Elise Fernald and Vivian Conners; his daughter, Barbara Workman; and his granddaughter, Lisa Harper. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Velma (Leighton) Workman of Southwest Harbor; his daughter, Brenda Seavey and her husband, Keith, of Southwest Harbor; granddaughter, Michelle Campbell and husband, Chad, of Tremont; grandson, Kris Harper and life partner, Marie Blanchard, of Seal Cove; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Matthew, Kilee and Evan. Warren also leaves behind many extended relatives and special friends."
