(Bertha Belle) Geist, 67, of Summerville RD 1 (Worthville), Jefferson County, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brookville Hospital, where she had been a patient the past four weeks. She was born Feb. 19, 1908 in Dora, Porter Township, Jefferson County, a daughter of Robert and Carrie (Reed) Adams. On Sept. 23, 1927 at Brookville, she married Willis H. Geist, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert H. of Rochester, PA.; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Lois) Mauk of Summerville RD1; two brothers, Russell and Reed, both of Fairview; three sisters; Mrs. Ralph (Nellie) Lingenfelter of Distant, Mrs. Gerald (Elizabeth) Bushong of California and Mrs. Walter (Bessie) Myers of Arizona; and nine grandchildren. A brother, Charles Adams, died in 1960."

[36652] Find A Grave memorial 42236484 offers: "Adam Barr, Sr., and Mary (Maria Catherina Kleckham) 'Claycomb' were married April 7, 1785 in Berkley Co. VA at the home of her mother, Elizabeth. Her brother Henry Claycomb was living there at the time too. They were married by Rev. Hugh Vance. Adam Barr served in the Delaware Militia during the Revolutionary War. Information taken from his tombstone. Adam Barr and his wife Mary Claycomb married (1785) in Berkeley Co., VA (now WV) and moved to Breckinridge Co., KY in the 1790s. They settled on Sugar Tree Run. Some records indicate they was already living at the fort near Hardinsburg, KY during the Revolutionary War."
