She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Klingerstown RD1; Gratz Senior Citizens; and Herndon Area Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons, Elwood R. of Halifax and Terry G. of Herndon RD1; two daughters, Anna Boyer of Lewisburg RD3 and Joan Harner of Carlisle; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Dorothy Strohecker of Halifax, Nealla Phillips of Herndon RD1, Arlene Clark of Millersburg RD, Nora Long of Northumberland and Arabella Shipe of Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russel D. Paul, on March 11, and MarlinPaul. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Salem United Church of Christ, Klingerstown RD1, by the Rev. Mark Rothermel and the Rev. George Heberling. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown RD1."

He was bom in Franklin County February 19, 1861, the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Rock West. For 26 years he was a foreman for the Mt. Cydonia Sand Company, and had worked in that capacity until the past year. He was a member of the United Brethren Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta Reeder West, and twelve sons and daughters: Mrs Stuart L. McCanns, Mrs. Charles H. Jamison, Mrs. Mary Harry B. Noll, and Edward C. West, all of Fayetteville, R. R. 1: Cpl. Franklin E. West; in the U. S. military service in the Southwest Pacific; Pvt. Leroy A. West, serving in England: Thomas R. West, Hagerstown; Charles E. West, Fayetteville; Mrs. Irvin I.
