Born Dec. 6, 1919, in Worthville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Dollie (Geist) Nolf. She married Walter L. Yeager on June 27, 1940. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2000. Hazel worked as a cashier at the A&P Store and Comet Market. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Bethlehem. Hazel enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a caring person who liked doing things for others. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Pitney and husband Robert Sr. of Murrysville and Sandra Hetrick and husband William of New Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Robert Pitney, Jr. and wife Rachael of Oxford, Sarah King and husband Roger of Greenville, Jennifer McGarry and husband Jeremy of Erie, Matthew Hetrick and wife Christina of New Bethlehem, and Ryan Hetrick of New Bethlehem; and nine great-grandchildren, Luke and Meghan Pitney, Jonathan and Kathleen King, Sydney and Michael McGarry, and Miles, Adelyn and Myra Hetrick. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Lee Mottern."
