[35913] "The Des Moines Register, 5 April 1988," p. 15: "Clara Paullin, 80, of Quality Health Care Center, 8401 Meredith Drive, died of a tumor Sunday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery at Booneville. Mrs. Paullin was born in Booneville and lived in Des Moines for 10 months. She previously lived in Waukee and retired as a kit refurbisher for Sarah Coventry. She was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church near Waukee, Rebekah Lodge at Booneville and the Waukee Sunshine Club. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Muillenburg of Lowell, Ind., and Joanne Hammand of Urbandale; a son, Bernard of Oxnard, Calif.; three brothers, Homer Allen of Grinnell and Francis Allen and DeLois Allen, both of Booneville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren." Her marriage record states Clara is daughter of Robert Allen and Dora Miller.
