[51095] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 13 May 2015": "Ellsworth - Ruth Louise Collar Small Freeman, 86, of Ellsworth and Eustis, Fla. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Collar, mother, Florence Tracy Collar, and brother Dwight Collar. Survived by sister Betty (Walter) Smith of Lisbon, N.Y., children Richard (Carrie) Small of Albuquerque, N.M., Vicky Small of Corvallis, Ore., Mary (John) Small of Trinidad, Calif., Helen Small of Coos Bay, Ore., and Raines 'David' (Paula) Freeman of Deland, Fla., seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born Feb. 21, 1929, in Franklin, Ruth moved to Ellsworth at an early age where she attended local schools graduating from Ellsworth High School. She reared five children, and spent many happy years pursuing her loves of horseback riding, cycling, and traveling cross-country. Ruth was a lifelong equestrian and cultivated enduring friendships throughout the horse community. Ruth moved to Florida in 1972. In an era when the business world welcomed few women, Ruth launched a decades-long career as a real estate entrepreneur. Although an accomplished real estate investor, she found her greatest satisfaction in her role as a mother. 'The biggest and best asset of all is, of course, my children.' Ruths most recent adventure was a move to Corvallis, Ore., to live with her daughter, Vicky, where she died peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family on May 8, 2015."
[6271] http://www.lawrence.edu/dept/art/buerger/catalogue/108.html offers: "Bruttia Crispina was the daughter of a consul under Antoninus Pius. She married Commodus in A.D. 177 and was given the title Augusta. To judge from her coin portraits she was beautiful. She was accused of adultery, exiled to Capri, and executed. Lucilla, the sister of Commodus, met the same fate when she was accused of plotting against him. Little else is known of Crispina's life. The reverses of her coins depict the usual goddesses and personifications appropriate to the empress and to the celebration of the imperial marriage. On this coin Pudicitia, the personification of chastity and modesty, is characterized by the veil she pulls across her face. The portrait on the obverse depicts a beautiful young woman wearing her hair braided around the face and backward into a bun."
