Weber, 79, devoted husband and father, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, to be with God after a long illness with pulmonary fibrosis. Robert was born on April 16, 1927 in Mechanicsburg. He was retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps and the National Guard. He was a life member of the Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, a former scoutmaster with Troop 80 in Mechanicsburg and a life member of Citizens Fire Co. in Mechanicsburg. He was also an avid sportsman, a life member of the N.R.A., a member or the - Central Dauphin Rifle Club and a member of the Mechanicsburg Sportsman's Association. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, G. Ray and Catharine (Fertenbaugh) Weber. He is survived by his wife, Lorna (Peck) Weber; a son, Warren R. Weber of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Ann Kopacko (John) of Shiremanstown; and grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Christine, John and Katelyn Kopacko, all of Shiremanstown."
