[9235] "The Decatur Daily Review [Decatur, Illinois], 14 July 1938," p. 16: "Mrs. Sarah V. Weaver, 83, of 350 East Center street , died at 5:45 a. m. today in her home. She had been in failing health for several months, and death was due to complications. Born in Mechanicsburg. Pa., Feb. 21, 1855, she moved with her parents. Henry and Elizabeth Sheibly, to Mendota in 1869. and to Hickory Point township, near Forsyth, in 1870. She was married there to Charles Weaver Nov. 7. 1872. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver moved into Decatur 31 years ago. Mr. Weaver, a prominent farmer, died here March 25, 1926. Mrs. Weaver was a member of the First Church of God. She leaves the following children: Roy Weaver, rural route 1; Mrs. Pearl Hockaday, rural route 2; and Clifford Weaver, Decatur, an employe of the Citizens National bank. A son, Arthur, died in 1931. There is one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bassler, Decatur. Mrs. Weaver also leaves nieces, Mrs. Frank Wallace and Mrs. Alma Westfall, both of Decatur, also a nephew, Otis Bassler, Columbus, Ohio. There are 16 granacnildren and 20 great grandchildren."
