"The Daily Review [Decatur, Illinois], 10 February 1910," p. 1: "Henry Sheibley, a resident of county since 1868, died about 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the home of daughter, Mrs. Charles Weaver, 1604 North Main street. Mr. Shelbley had been in poor for a Jong time. He was over eighty-three years old Jan. 30. He was born in Pennsylvania. He came to Macon county In 1868 and settled on a farm north of Decatur. He was well known In Macon county. He leaves four daughters in Decatur, Mrs. H. B. Weikel, Mrs. J. H. Rainey, Mrs. Charles Weaver and Mrs. Mary Bassier."

"Mount Carmel Item [Mount Carmel, PA], 24 August 1946," p. 8: "Mrs. Bertha Bright, 73, former resident of this city, but lately a guest of the Parker Home unit of the Presbyterian home of Central, Newville, Pa., died last night at eight o'clock in the Carlisle Hospital after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the James Dyke Funeral Home, this city. Rev. William I. Swaim, Jr., Executive Secretary of the Presbyterian Home, will have charge of the service and Interment will be made in Fountain Springs cemetery. Mrs. Bright, the former Bertha Slanker, was a resident of this community for 43 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church here. She was married to John M. Bright, former building contractor, February 10, 1897. Survivors are one son, William, of Chester, and two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Minnie Wolfgang, Gordon; Mrs. Robert Geist, Bethlehem, and George Slanker, Gordon."
