Bubeck, a retired car repairman of the Pennsylvania Railroad and a veteran hunter, was walking with two companions, 'Red' Messer and John Rupp, when he suddenly fell forward. He was rushed to the office of Dr. Lenker, Schuylkill Haven, where he was pronounced dead. The party was hunting in the rear of the Almshouse and had not fired a single shot before Bubeck suffered a heart attack because of over-exertion."
