'Welf IV, son of Alberto Azzo II Conte di Luni [Este] & his first wife Kunigunde von Altdorf [Welf] ([1030/40]-Paphos Cyprus 9 Nov 1101, bur Weingarten, near Lake Constance). The Annalista Saxo names "Welfum seniorum" son of "Azoni marchioni de Langobardia de castris Calun et Estin" (called "Welphus filius Azzonis marchionis Italorum" in an earlier passage) & his wife "Cunizam". After the death of his maternal uncle Welf III, he was summoned from Italy by his maternal grandmother to inherit the Welf family properties in Swabia and Bavaria. He was installed in 1070 as Welf I Duke of Bavaria by Heinrich IV King of Germany. Duke Welf supported Rudolf von Rheinfelden, anti-king of Germany, and was deposed as Duke of Bavaria in 1077 by Heinrich IV. "Heinricus…rex" granted property of "Welfo dux dum erat dux…in pago Passir…in comitatu Gerungi et in comitatu Friderici" to the church of Brixen by charter dated 1078. He sought to reassert his position in northern Italy against Emperor Heinrich IV by arranging, through Pope Urban II, the marriage of his son to the powerful landowner Matilda Ctss of Tuscany. In 1095, Welf IV was reconciled with the emperor, who regranted him the dukedom of Bavaria. He undertook an expedition to Italy after the death of his father in 1097 to assert his position in the inheritance over his half-brothers. A contingent led by Welf I left Germany as part of the second wave of the First Crusade in early 1101, joining forces en route with Guillaume IX Duke of Aquitaine. Albert of Aix records that, after their army was dispersed in Asia Minor by the Turks, Duke Welf eventually reached Jerusalem to complete his pilgrimage but died in Cyprus on the return journey. Ekkehard records the death of Welf Duke of Bavaria and his burial in Cyprus. The necrology of Weingarten records the death "V Id Nov" of "Welf dux senior hic sepultus".

The Annales Stadenses refers to the four daughters of Otto, specifying that "tertia fuit uxor Hermanni de Calvela, que genuit Ottonem et Heinricum comites de Ravenesberch" without naming her.
m [secondly/thirdly] ([1071]) as her second husband, Judith de Flandre , widow of Tostig Godwinson Earl of Northumbria, daughter of Baudouin IV Count of Flanders & his second wife [Eléonore] de Normandie ([1033]-5 Mar 1094, bur St Martin Monastery). The Annalista Saxo names "Iudhita…amita Rodberti comitis de Flandria ex cognatione beati Ethmundi regis" as husband of "Haroldi" (in error for Tostig) but correctly names her second husband "Welphus filius Azzonis marchionis Italorum". The Genealogia Welforum names "filiam comitis Flandrie, reginam Anglie, Iuditam nomine" as wife of Welf. Florence of Worcester says that Judith was "daughter of Baldwin Count of Flanders" but does not specify which Count Baldwin nor is this clear from the context. According to the Vita Ædwardi Regis, she was the sister of Count Baudouin V. Alberic de Trois Fontaines asserts that Judith was one of the children of Baudouin V Count of Flanders & his wife Adela de France, but there are other clear errors in his listing of this couple's children so the statement should be viewed with caution. Judith is also listed as the daughter of Count Baudouin V (after Mathilde) in a manuscript whose attribution to Orderic Vitalis is disputed, which also shows her first marriage. Judith moved to Denmark after her first husband was killed. The Chronicon of Bernold records the death "1094 IV Non Mar" of "Iuditha uxor ducis Welfonis Baioariæ" and her burial "apud monasterium…Sancti Martini" built by her husband. The necrology of Raitenbuch records the death "III Non Mar" of "Iudinta regina Anglie, filia marchionis de Este uxor Welfonis nostri fundatoris", exaggerating her status resulting from her first marriage and confusing her paternity. The necrology of Weingarten records the death "III Non Mar" of "Judita dux regina Anglie", also exaggerating her status resulting from her first marriage.'

Johann Michael settled in Germantown in October, 1726, then came to the headwaters of the Millbach, Lebanon Valley, near what is now Schaefferstown. He moved to Reading in 1782, where his sons Michael and Peter were living. [51368] Randall's obituary: "Blue Hill - Randall Frederick Perkins 'Randy' 'Dad' Uncle Randy' 'Stash' 'Grizz' was the eldest son of Fred Varney Perkins and Patricia Curran Perkins. Born August 16, 1953. He departed his beloved Blue Hill Peninsula for bigger fishing grounds on June 24, 2015. In his final 48 hours he was surrounded by his enormous family and devoted friends, with a send off filled with prayers, stories, long strong embraces, laughter and open weeping. As the oldest of twelve hard-working farm kids, a great deal of responsibility fell on his young shoulders. That birth right shaped and formed the core of who he was, 'a hard working man'. In 1970 the family sold Tamworth Farm and moved to a larger farm, (with a bigger home to accommodate the growing numbers) in Belgrade Maine. Randy graduated from Messalonskee High School in Oakland, Maine then joined the U.S.Navy, as his own father had done as a young man, and two younger siblings would also do. After various wild adventures and mis-adventures around the country he returned with incredible JOY and eagerness to Hancock County, in the early 90's. He immediately set to building his lively hood from the water. It was in him from the start to 'go fishin'. Randy was a lobsterman by trade and a lover of people by nature. He would as soon as give you the shirt off his back, the food off his table, or his last dollar in his pocket, than to see you in need. He kept a captive audience regularly and often by regaling them with his stories, and he had stories Mista!!! These stories would have rivaled any 'Bert and I' scenario. He loved to laugh, make people laugh, and in part a life lesson in one full swoop of an anecdote. All that said, Randy had a strict zero tolerance policy for arrogant, dishonest, rude people. His stories of these encounters (especially happening during the August months of tourism) were especially entertaining with his one line witty zingers. The offending party would barely know what hit em. He was fiercely proud of his hard work, his rugged life, his giant family, his devoted tribe. Oh and his tribe covered every social class, every age group, every area of his life. He would meet you exactly where you were, and when you honored him in the same way he would far exceed any expectations you could possibly have imagined about your relationship with him. Randy was a fierce champion for all that he loved. His lifetime of Rottweilers were a constant source of companionship and loyalty. The most recent handsome fellow in that parade is 'Gus'. Who was a most thoughtful surprise gift from siblings seven years ago, within the year that Rex had passed. Gus doesn't know he is an unlikely stern man, or not a lap dog, or a fierce looking creature. All he knows is what Randy knew, work hard every day, be good to people, eat well and often and stay with truck! As a result of Gods remarkable plan for Randy he continues to be 'giving the shirt off his back' to three fortunate people somewhere in New England. There are many factors that must be in place in order to be an organ donor. Randy met those criteria! In these incredible gifts he allowed those three souls 'Half A Chance' at a better life. He will be sorely missed by his canine partner, fellow fisherman, faithful seafood customers, enormous family, and more people than we will ever meet. We all could compile a large volume book with his quotes. Just a few days prior to his sudden departure his nephew Jake quoted him by sharing this one, 'Tell the truth and work from your heart, the rest will fall into place.' -Uncle Randy. Randy loved us all so BIG! Like everything in his life, big dog, big boat, big truck, big long driveway, big lobsters, big meals, big hands, big hugs, big laughter! A true Giant in real life! He is survived by: Gus, parents, siblings and their spouses, son Daniel Frederickson, daughter Tiana Crosby, nieces, nephews, and great nieces nephews, including the most recent boy son of Alexis born on Friday June 26, named Grayson."
