[7437] In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BURGUNDIAN%20NOBILITY.htm offers: "It is not known whether Landry was the brother of Bishop Adalger or whether his wife Hildesinde was the bishop's sister. A supporter of Charles 'le Chauve' who gave him the chapel of St Aubin in the Māconnais in 842, which Landry and his wife gave to the cathedral of Mācon shortly after, although the dating is unlikely to be correct if they were the parents of Landry [II]. - m (before 868) Hildesinde, daughter of ---. The primary source which confirms her marriage has not so far been identified."

Maurice was "one of the justices of assize for the co. of Warwick, in the
13th and 16th Henry III, and a commissioner for assessing and collecting
the fourteenth part of all men's moveable goods, according to the form and
order then appointed. This feudal lord filled the office of justice of
assize for the same shire, a second and third time, and was repeatedly
justice for the gaol delivery at Warwick, in the same king's reign." -
Burke's "Dormant and Extinct Peerages, 1883, p. 63. Henry III and his
taxation programs are described in "The Magnificent Century," Thomas B.
Costain (Doubleday, 1951).

[4156] Baldricus Teutonicus was in the service of Duke William of Normandy, was Lord of Bacqueville-en-Caux, and apparently he or his son became responsible for the Norman front line in the Durham area of northern England, holding off the Scottish tribes. {See reference under Comments for his wife.} The ancestry given for him here is from Carr P. Collins, Jr., "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons" (Dallas, 1959), p. 72. NOTE: Also known as Baldric the German.
